Privacy Policy

Information we collect

Newsletter

If you subscribe, we store your email address, the date and time you agreed, the wording of the consent you agreed to, and a private code that lets you unsubscribe.

Contact form

If you write to us, we store your name, email address, chosen topic and message.

Calculators

The Budget and Savings calculators run in your browser. The figures you enter are not sent to our servers and are not stored.

Technical data

Our servers may briefly process your IP address to deliver pages and to limit spam on forms. We do not store IP addresses in our database. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs.

Why we use it

• To send the newsletter, only to people who subscribed.
• To read and respond to your messages.
• To keep the website secure and prevent abuse.

Who handles your data

We use Vercel to host the website and MongoDB Atlas to store newsletter and contact data. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google when a page loads. We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

At the time of writing, MoneyWise does not set cookies of its own. If we add analytics or advertising in future, such as Google AdSense, those services may use cookies, and we will update this policy and offer the choices the law requires.

How long we keep it

Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Unsubscribing stops emails. To have your record deleted entirely, contact us. Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to deal with them, then deleted.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your information, withdraw consent, or object to certain uses. To exercise these rights, email bamidelephilip80@gmail.com.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections and restricted database access. No system is completely secure.

Children

MoneyWise is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
